10th Annual All Good Music Festival Announces Expanded Lineup: Black Crowes, Ween, Les Claypool, Robert Randolph, The Wailers, Aquarium Rescue Unit, M

(PRWEB) April 21, 2006 -- Walther Productions is proud to announce an expanded roster of eclectic talent to an already power-packed lineup at this year’s 10th Annual All Good Music Festival. The All Good Music Festival, marking its milestone 10th anniversary year, will take place July 14-16 at Marvin’s Mountaintop in Masontown, WV.

The Black Crowes, Ween, Les Claypool and many other previously announced acts will be joined at the Mid-Atlantic’s premier camping event by a rare performance of Aquarium Rescue Unit; Robert Randolph and The Family Band; The Wailers; Galactic, Xavier Rudd and much more to be announced in the coming weeks.

Already the East Coast’s mid-summer highlight for live music fans, the 10th Annual All Good Music Festival has become a certified monster of a musical gathering: this year features a bigger band line-up, more sought-after artists, and three full days and nights of live music. The festival has evolved its unique laid-back, homegrown, regionally known, camp-out, chill out and rock out style into a full blown three day live music extravaganza, complete with top quality production, state of the art sound and lights, an authentic variety of food and craft vendors, art and sculpture, a kid’s area, family camping, interactive artisan workshops, microwbrews, and no overlapping sets. The 10th Annual All Good Music Festival features over 40 hours of original music set against the landscape of the majestic and magnificent natural wonder and grandeur of Marvin’s Mountaintop, the festival’s home for the fourth consecutive year.

The line-up for this year’s All Good Music Festival is not only impressive, but also diverse, covering some of the most highly regarded touring acts as well as up and coming stars of the future. With a lineup that also includes Umphrey’s McGee, Bob Schneider, and Southern Culture on the Skids, among others, the 10th Annual All Good Music Festival is sure to be the most popular edition yet of what has become one the Mid-Atlantic’s premier live summer camping festivals. The complete lineup to date is listed below – with more to come.

From jamband, to singer-songwriter, to Indie Rock, the line-up is as diverse as it is phenomenal – as is the feel and flavor. Though the festival has grown from attracting 1,000 people in a Brandywine, MD park to an expected record-breaking attendance of 20,000 this year on a sprawling mountaintop setting, the peacefully spirited All Good vibe has remained a constant.

“Bad attitudes are not accepted,” says promoter Tim Walther, who founded the festival in 1997. “The intention from the beginning was to create a safe environment where fans, friends and family could enjoy the music and each other -- to experience an all good festival with all good music, all good vibes and all good times. People show up expecting everything to be all good, and as its own living entity… it always is.”

The All Good Music Festival has become the flagship event of Maryland-based Walther Productions, and its growth has paralleled the growth of the concert company. This year, more roads are being built and more fields are being cleared to accommodate the large crowds in the manner to which they’ve become accustomed each year. Diversity, originality and creativity are plentiful; hard-nose rules and regulations are not. By treating patrons with an uncommon level of respect like one big family, they’re bound at All Good by a common celebratory love of music, and a sense of excitement coupled with the grandeur of the great outdoors, setting a prevailing tone of inherent tranquility and camaraderie.

Marvin’s Mountaintop, with its glorious natural backdrop, is a 675-acre, panoramic setting that has proven to be a wonderful destination for All Good patrons since the festival settled here in 2003. The fifth site and fourth state to host All Good, Marvin’s Mountaintop boasts magnificent surroundings overlooking the West Virginia mountains and Cheat River. They echo the relaxed spirit of the All Good Music Festival, and that gentle atmosphere has been perennially maintained as annual attendance has increased. Marvin’s Mountaintop is a lovely, safe environment where family and friends gather to enjoy the great outdoors while listening to the music, with a wide range of outdoor activities for children and adults. All Good always is about offering feel-good music to “all good” people and giving them an entirely positive weekend experience brimming with the strength of optimism and community spirit.

The All Good Music Festival started as a one-day event at Wilmer’s Park in Brandywine, MD, with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones as the only major national act. The festival has surely and steadily become part of the national consciousness with a dedicated and important group of music enthusiasts attending year after year. Because of the multi-faceted pleasures and treasures consistently discovered at the festival, it has organically grown and kept getting bigger while striving to maintain its non-corporate feel.

The All Good Music Festival ups its own ante every year, with a self-imposed goal for greatness that has brought some distinguished alumni, including: The Flaming Lips, Matisyahu, String Cheese Incident, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Ozomatli, moe., Medeski Martin and Wood, Del McCoury Band, Keller Williams, Gov’t Mule, the North Mississippi All-Stars, Leftover Salmon, Dark Star Orchestra, Steve Kimock, Sam Bush, Donna the Buffalo, Soulive, John Scofield and Burning Spear.
