Mireth Technology Releases Music Man Version 2.7 with Enhanced WMA Support

Vancouver, Canada, (PRWEB) March 31, 2008 -- Mireth Technology Corp. has released a new version of Music Man, its Mac OS X ripper, converter, burner, player digital music software. Version 2.7 of Music Man adds enhanced WMA Support, DVD-Audio burning capability and OS X 10.5 compatibility.

With this release, Music Man enhances support of WMA to include support for WMA9. Although a WMA file originally only contained a single audio track encoded with the Windows Media Audio (WMA) codec, with the introduction of WMA 9, it may now contain a single audio track in one of four codecs: Windows Media Audio (WMA), Windows Media Audio Pro (WMA Pro), Windows Media Audio Lossless (WMA Lossless), Windows Media Audio Voice (WMA Voice). Of these four codes, the most popular is still WMA, the original file format. Music Man now supports the first three of these codecs, with the Windows Media Components for QuickTime installed.

There are many situations in which using ear phones in both ears is inconvenient or unsafe, such as when grocery shopping, when walking at night, or when minding children. In these situations, listening with only one earphone in and one ear free would be preferable, but can hinder the listening experience because stereo sound depends on both the right and left track being heard together. Unlike stereo, Mono mixdown burns all the music to both the right and left track, so one ear listening still hears both tracks.
